Zheng Group delivered four poster presentations in the Adaptive Energy Poster Session at the SU BioInspired Institute Annual Symposium on November 14, 2025. Our presenters included Vanshika, Lydia, Tanvir, and Anthony, each showcasing their latest research advancements.

The comprehensive review article, “Metal-Based Co-Catalysts in Semiconductor CdS Hybrid Nanostructures for Enhanced Photocatalysis: Material Design, Mechanisms, and Emerging Trends,” by Walker et al. has been accepted for publication in Coordination Chemistry Reviews. Congratulations to Walker and co-authors!

Vanshika and Prof. Zheng gave two presentations at the ACS Fall 2025 Meeting held in Washington, D.C., August 18–21, 2025.

Louis Bercaw (REU Program), Samantha Hart (NSF Energy Engine Research Scholar), and Aphone Shin (ACS project seed program) presented their research at the 2025 SU SOURCE poster session on August 7, 2025. Congratulations to all three students on their excellent work and presentations!

Walker MacSwain has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis titled “Co-catalyst Modified Mn-Doped Semiconductor Hybrid Nanostructures for Enhanced Photocatalysis“. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Hanjie Lin on successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis, “Lead-free Perovskites with Enhanced Optoelectronic Properties and Environmental Stability!“.

The work on tailoring substitutional sites for efficient lanthanide doping in lead-free perovskite nanocrystals by Hanjie, et al. is accepted by ACS Nano. Excellent job!
